Where it started
It started in the kitchen.
As a new mom, our founder started noticing plastic everywhere. Not just the obvious stuff, but the sponges, the cutting boards, the storage containers. The everyday things that quietly touch everything you eat, and that get replaced every few months because they were never built to last in the first place.
She didn't love what that meant for her family, or for the planet her kids were inheriting.
So she started looking for better. Not "eco" as a marketing word, but actually better: materials that last, that don't shed microplastics into food, that don't end up back in a landfill a year later. When she couldn't find enough of it in one place, she started building it herself.
That became Casa Utile.
What we believe

Casa Utile curates durable, thoughtfully-sourced kitchenware and home textiles: wood, cotton, glass, and other materials chosen to reduce single-use plastic and actually hold up over time. We're not chasing trends or seasonal drops. Every product is picked because it earns a permanent spot in your kitchen, not a spot in next year's landfill.
